Many think of honey as a simple sweetener for your favorite yogurt, or tea, perhaps even a dipping sauce. This awesome food is packed with a bunch of powerful antiseptic, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties, and should be added into your beauty routine.

RAW Honey is what you want, there is a big difference between this stuff and the other type of honey you may find at your local store, because raw honey is not pasteurized, processed, or heated, to ensure it holds onto its great qualities.

Face

– Fight acne. The bacteria that causes breakouts, can be fought against thanks to honey, it will draw moisture to the skin, leave on for 15-20 minutes then rinse off.

-Lighten up dark circles. Bags under the eyes? Well, raw honey can really help with this, mix up some honey and almond oil, apply before bed, and rinse off in the morning.

– Smooth out wrinkles. Raw honey mixed with a ripe avocado, spread evenly on the face, and rinse off after 15-20 minuets. This is a great natural way to help your skin.

Body

-Help cuticle damage. A cracked fingernail or toenail, is ugly, but can cause fungus, so coat your nails with a mixture of honey and apple cider vinegar to cleanse and soften.

-Reduce razor burn. Using a razor can cause serious irritation, so smear a dab of raw honey over the razor bumps post shave, and make sure to rinse off after about 20 minuets.

-Pamper skin. Want a flawless complexion? who doesn’t, right? Try a honey bath that Cleopatra used, dissolve 2 tablespoons of raw honey in 1 cup of hot water, and sit back relax and enjoy feeling like a queen.

Hair

-Add shine. This shine boosting trick can help your shine tremendously, 1/2 cup of raw honey, 1/4 cup of olive oil, apply to hair from roots, leave for 20 minuets, then rinse. Use weekly.

-Soften locks. Raw honey is what we call a humectant, which means it locks in moisture. Mix in a teaspoon of raw honey to your shampoo, lather and rinse well, this will hellp leave your damaged hair nice and soft.

-Help itchy scalp. Having anti-fungal properties, honey will help remove all the crud that blocks hair follicles, which leads to itchy flakes. Massage the raw honey on your scalp after diluting  a bit.
